I wonder what they're using...

If anyone has any idea, please let me know.

But..

I arbitrarily noticed how all the show hosts are "cheating" when they've been using a pair Bluetooth headphones ... because they're sounding so clear on camera.

They're using lapel mics in addition to their ear pods.

Case in point:

This morning Live with Ryan and Kelly were on this morning and since I'm home this week, I noticed something peculiar.

Both are wearing what seems to be Airpods.. but in my experience of using the lesser known models, people tell me it sounds like I'm talking with marbles in my mouth.

Enter the lapel microphone clipped to Ryan and Kelly's shirts.

So... they're somehow turning off the audio from the headphones and turning on the audio from the lapel microphone. Question is, what brand are they using, as it could be a range of products.

I'm curious as to what "normal" people are doing... how is everyone connecting to streaming apps and having crystal clear audio while hearing the conversation? Is there a magic button or side app that is needed to make all these video conferences seem like it's so simple, I'm obviously too stupid to figure it out?

I don't use all the apps that most people use - I audio chat with Tay on Skype because he hates using video chat (he has a Samsung Galaxy 5 that relies solely on WiFi... he doesn't have a cellular plan). I end up using the wired headphones my fruit phone came with (... the iPhone 5 ... and now add the use of the dongle since the iPhone 11 doesn't have a headphone jack), because Tay complains that it's hard to hear with the JLabs. Yet other people have said they hear me just fine during regular phone calls. It must be something to do with the WiFi connection in Skype, since the program compresses the hell out of recorded video. I don't know exactly; I'm not that technical. As I don't FaceTime with people, I don't know how the headphones work with that. The last time I Skype video chatted someone, it was months ago... when the pandemic first started. Rach over in England was having some challenges she wanted to vocalize about.

I tell people I don't use other services (Zoom, etc) because I have Hangouts, FaceTime and Skype... if people want to get a hold of me for video purposes, call me on those applications... I'm not installing anything else. Or, just call once in a while. Voice chat works too.

I guess that is it for now... any ideas, leave a comment!

Naturally fresh?

I'm going to give a TMI moment.

So I'll count to three if you don't want to listen.

1......

2......

3......

I have deodorant problems.

Another chance to leave now...

1....

2...

3..

It seems that since I've been living in Florida, due to the humidity and some of my jobs, certain sticks for the pits, bother me.

'Bothers me' as in... bad heat rash and one of those "are you wearing deodorant? Because it smells like you've not showered in days" smell.

Last chance. If you want to leave now, go ahead. I'm just going to sit here and compare some stuff I've tried.

I've always had great luck with most products. Didn't matter if it were men's or women's refreshers, I seemed to be okay (Dove, Suave, Gillette, and Secret were good ones I've used over the years. I've alternated between gel and stick). Once I started having (more) physical jobs in the hot summers, things started to get a little weird. Don't get me wrong - I've had jobs up north that required the same amount of running around, but it's always been indoors. This is the first time I've had real problems... living in The Wang. This summer marks 9 years I've been here.

It's all the more reason I keep telling people "I'm allergic to this state".

One of the doctors I've seen (who was my primary here... before she switched practices), said my problems stem from an aluminum allergy. No poking, no prodding, no tests of any kind. Just based off what I described, I've got an aluminum allergy. Stop using things with that metal. She then put it on my records I've got problems. Lady... thanks for not being thorough and treating me for something you think I have...!

But what do I know? Obviously, I don't know my body.

I switched from sticks to spray and although some of them still said they had aluminum, I seemed fine. I went a couple years with no problems from the sprays (I started using Degree and had no issues).

A few months ago, I ran out of spray and started using Arm & Hammer Essentials Deodorant with Natural Deodorizers: Clean thinking that it seems to be all natural - "No aluminum, no parabens, contains baking soda and natural plant extracts to absorb and fight odor". I've tried it before in the past and forgot that it had made things worse the last time I used it. I don't know if it's the stuff they put in it (the oils - lemon, grapefruit and juniper berry) or it's a combination of something else, but this last time out, I had to change things quickly. Things went smelly, fast.

So my mom did a little research with me. She found something called Native and I bought the Coconut & Vanilla. While there are mixed reviews on Amazon, I think I remember seeing a variation (sensitive, etc) in Target when I picked up my stick... all were a couple pennies more in store than online. Amazon reviews are calling this a fake because of the back label and over all color, but I can't attest for them as I've only purchased one bar.. It smelled so good I wanted to eat it.

Although it's true, once I was close to finishing the stick, I started noticing the smell didn't stay all day, but I wasn't smelling horrible. I was also doing the same amount of activity every day... or close to it.Yes, like someone said, it's hard to roll on. Other people have stated you have to let it adjust to your arm pit and it's true. Give it a second or two to sit on a pit and go roll. Others say it leaves stains - I've read that and the general answer is it's because the ingredients are all natural and it's your body's way of detoxing from months / years of the chemical sticks. Your arm pits need to get readjusted with everything, so the staining or the oils do happen, but not with everyone. I think I didn't get that because I've been so used to trying different options, my body doesn't know what to do anymore. Plus, my neighbor brought up a good point - "don't put it everywhere under your arm. Only put it where the hair grows". Guess what - no staining. In the beginning it feels weird at first, like you're dirtier and slimier than you usually are, but again, it's your body working out the other stuff you've been wearing.

When I finished the one stick, I went back to my normal routine, sadly enough. Don't get me wrong - I'd buy Native again in a heart beat. But I had company visiting for a couple months and they left unopened deodorant with me because they didn't want to bring it home. I've been using that and ended up finding a BOGO / coupon sale on the Degree sprays. Once I finish those, I'll probably try another flavor of Native and see how that goes. I've also had no problems with rashes or smell since trying Native or the Degree stick I'm using now.

What really spawned me to write this "too much information!!!!!!!!" post... is that I ended up subscribing to the Native email. They sent an email blast last week saying there's one "last chance to buy spring scents" via their website. I looked at the images in the email and immediately thought "someone failed to do their job". I can't help but look for stuff in magazines and articles that seem to be wrong. Movies and TV too. Sometimes small things bother me... the oopsies no one notices.

The thing that got me on the email blast was the person who Photoshopped the image together, flipped the logo the other way. It bothered me because the transparency seemed wrong.

Looking at the image, the main sticks are fine. That's their label. But underneath them, the logo is flipped and reversed. I feel it should be rotated to match the sticks, not be rotated and look as if it's falling Matrix style down the page. .

If I'm wrong, tell me.

*Shrugs*

Okay. TMI rant over. You can go back to your business.

Of all this.. all the natural things I've tried (I used to also use Tom's products, plus Seventh Generation laundry detergent back in the day.. Thanks to Tay... you dirty hippy😆) I must have been a hippy in my own rites in a past life. I've no problem with this stuff, but it's so damn expensive some times. But I'm not immune from dabbling in the alternatives. ☺

Stay safe, be well;

Cheers
