Although I hate writing political posts and endorsing any side, I know I live in Republican territory. To the point, when trump was first running for president, I happened to be working for a "high end AV company at high end hotels". During one of the big debate weeks, I was in Marco Island and the people I was working with, were all Republicans. They were in big spirits over the "win" and discussing all things Wig when I got up and started walking out of the room. One of the guys immediately barks "Oh, look... we are scaring the cowardly Democrat from Massachusetts! Just keep walking, baby!". I was like "what??????" considering this was coming from a grown 'man' that was supposed to be a 'supervisor'. I asked him what he meant / please repeat himself, and he did - the group is apparently "scaring the cowardly Democrat" and that I can't "handle the conversation". I was rightly pissed, and told him that I was "getting up because I need to pee. Not for wanting to leave the conversation". Part of me did want to not be part of the conversation, but in all honesty, I also had to use the toilet. I was so tempted to get on his level and tell him to get sorted and go to hell, but I needed to be able to continue to work, as I had already made enemies with that group for some unsafe practices... I didn't need to dig myself into a deeper hole. I was basically told by my own bosses to suck it up, even though they backed me on the past issue, there was nothing they could do as I was a guest at the other locations... since I didn't have work at my hotel, I needed to stay in everyone's good graces.
Good thing I don't work for the company anymore?
Now the problem is, to add insult to injury, it kind of stings to write "republican" because I usually add a "T" at the end and a "U" in place of the "A". I've got to keep watching how I'm writing it here. Haha.
You know, all these stone cold arrogantly mean people that are making the world an angrier place, is sad. The world was messed up before 2016, I admit it, but it's gotten more negative over the past three years. People just have lower expectations and uglier outcomes. To go to a giant flea market and see hats upon shirts upon bumper stickers supporting a bloated cheeto, is beyond crazy sad. I feel like this marketing and mindset is creating a false flag that people don't realize the future problems it's causing.
I can't get into a lot more because I don't want to piss people off or get knocks on my door. I just want to post some pictures of some of the things I found at the big store, and some links to Amazon at the end, to show maybe you can find a deal at a flea market or maybe you can find a deal online somewhere else; do research because I'm all about that 'search. =)
I do want to say, out of all the things I saw today, I did buy some decals for my car. The New England Patriots (head) logo (new school) and two Red Sox decals (one and two). I have to admit, Amazon has the Pats decal for 50 cents cheaper, but the Sox decals were a set, so I made out better in the store than online, as I only found a different 2 pack and not the ones I purchased. So individually, they are more money bought together, than I spent in one shot.
That doesn't make sense. Uh, The Sox decals came as a two pack, but the version I bought, isn't sold on Amazon. At least I didn't see it on the first 2 pages. So if I bought them individually, I would have paid more to receive them, then I paid in person. Therefore, my total today was extremely lower in price for the Patriots and Sox decals (in person), then I would have paid online. Pays to research!
Pictures or this doesn't exist.
All photos taken on an iPhone 6S and edited in Photoshop.
The decals are not to be confused with the decals I already have on my car:
If I keep this up, I'll run out of room on my car.
Enjoy the Memorial Day weekend.
Cheers;
