So close, yet so far away

No, it's not about the Carole King song, but it's about the moon this morning.

I had to be up early because I needed to go somewhere. It also happens to be trash day, so I took out extra trash to be picked up.

That's when I saw the moon.

I really need to work on my picture taking better. I didn't have enough time to set up everything (tripod, camera) so I went back in the house and grabbed my Canon, popped in the battery and SD card, screwed on the 75-300 zoom lens and back outside I went.

I put the camera on manual mode and played around with the settings a little bit. For giggles, I am adding some bad photos in this post, as a comparison reminder to myself on how I really should learn my camera more. Although, the "bad" photos came out a little weirdly okay (like the way one of the photos looks like I shot into the sun and it's flaring a bit). I know they're a little fuzzy in places and not as clear as they should be, but it's all in the experience and experimenting. I'm no professional by any means.

Part of the reason I need to work on the photos is due to the fact it was 6:25am, not 12 midnight. The sky wasn't as dark as the black background seems to be. It would have been nice to get the blue sky that was popping up as I stood outside with everything.

The minor editing I did on these was a sharpening and my name in Photoshop. A few of them have been manipulated with auto tone, color and contrast. Another reason that I'm not using ace equipment. My HP laptop is not calibrated to edit photos the way it should be. Especially since the laptop is 12 years old and I'm trying not to kill it. I know I need an updated computer - this one is running Windows 8.1. I'm not good with change and updates on things. I get a little crazy. One day I will update everything. One day... maybe if I ever move....

There's nothing much else to say about what I did and did not do to the pictures. The main garbage bin got emptied around 8:30am and the recycle around 9:15. The city is sending out the pickers early now that it's summer because of the heat and humidity, as well as the random rain we've been getting.

Boy, has it been storming pretty good here. Not like it's been in Texas. That's really awful and it's sad that the flooding happened. The news keeps replaying the same information and you feel bad for everyone there. On top of it, my mom saw on her Facebook yesterday, that the Expressway in Massachusetts was completely closed off by 11am due to flooding. People were getting trapped on their commute and had to turn around because the staties were closing the roads. Comments were wild - main roads, some back roads... places were underwater. All from the storm that hit Texas and moved east and north east. We're getting massive thunder and lightning but haven't had the flooding rains yet. We don't need it, but it'll be inevitable. We're just hoping we don't get hit with a hurricane or two.

Put on your tin foil hat, kids. Randomly, my friend Cat texted me the other day and asked if  I had heard anything about the UFO sighting in Fort Myers from the day prior. I hadn't, but apparently there's some rumbling on whatever social media she follows, saying people are reporting strange (almost nightly) sightings in the air. I honestly haven't heard anything about it, and am not going to try to link anywhere or post to anything. I don't know where she finds the videos, as she didn't tell me how she came across it. I did try to search for it myself, but I came up almost empty handed. There was one video of someone saying they were watching a webcam from a place down on Fort Myers Beach, and they finally saw some lights flickering. The angle of the webcam was facing what used to be the pier and the person zoomed in to the dark sky to show a string of lights or windows or something. It is one of those things where the user stated they know the beach is visited frequently by outer worldly guests, but this was the first time in a long time that the ship was caught on camera. Again, I cannot validate any of this as I have not been following it.

Had Cat not asked me about it, I wouldn't have tried to look in to it myself. I don't know how real it is, but I also am not saying it's truly faked. I'm not judging and I'm not going to attempt to sell anyone on the idea that there is something going on at the beach. Oddly, it would make sense if there was more going on than what we think, since the area is still trying to build back up from Ian's destruction, but I don't know to what extent this would happen. Maybe that's why things are taking their time to finish? There's some magic in the air prohibiting a rush? It's all part of the southern slowness of "why hurry"? I am not sure and I don't want to jump to any conclusion. I'll gladly share the news, but I'm not going to say exactly what's going on as sometimes you just don't know. Things can be manipulated, hacked, etc. Choose your own path with it and see where it goes.

Therefore, I think I'm going to cut it here and go to the gym. It's early enough that if I do my ~2hr workout, I can be home in time to take a nap. I didn't sleep well last night and since I had to get up at 5:30 this morning, I'm going to either need a few more cups of coffee  or a major snooze if I expect to not pass out before supper tonight.

Until then, be safe, take care of yourselves and always look to the skies. You never know what you'll see. Listen for alarms as well... you don't want to end up being swept away in anything...

Cheers;

Another deodorant bites the dust

Rather, another deodorant kills my pits.

Fair do's
I'm going to get into some TMI ("Too much information") regarding a deodorant I recently was using and what it was doing to my arm pits.
If talking about body stuff skeeves you out, leave now.
Read a past post on this blog, or keep checking in to see if I've got something new.
If you want to continue, read on.

A few months ago, I picked up two deodorant sticks from a brand called "Nubian Heritage". They were on sale and the product information reads as being "Aluminum Free" as well as having "Certified Organic" and "Fair Trade" ingredients.

The two sticks I picked up were "Hemp & Vetiver" and "Patchouli & Buriti".

The first one I opened (and only one I've tried) has been the Hemp & Vetiver.

The ingredient list on the back of the stick states:
"Propanediol, Glycerin, Water, Sodium Stearate, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Silica, Zinc Ricinoleate, Fragrance, Polyglyceryl-3 Caprate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter *❤, Cannabis Sativa (Hemp) Seed Oil, Vetiveria Zizanoides (Vetiver) Root Oil, Melia Azadirachta (Neem) Seed Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Seed Extract, Allantoin Tocopherol, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Sucrose Cocoate, Saccharomyces Ferment Filtrate, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate

* Certified Organic Ingredient.
❤Fair Trade Ingredient

Natural ingredients may vary in color and consistency"

I typed the entire list from the back of the stick:

The challenge is, Amazon is selling the stick with the following (mistyped - "ffrom") ingredient list:
"With Pure Non GMO Glycols ffrom Corn. Propanediol, Glycerin (Vegetable), Water, Sodium Stearate, Silica, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Zinc Ricinoleate, Fragrance (Proprietary Essential Oil Blend), Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter)*, Hemp Seed Oil, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Seed Extract, Saccharomyces Ferment, Polyglyceryl-3 Caprate, Sucrose Cocoate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Allantoin, Neem (Melia Azadirachta) Seed Oil *Certified Organic Ingredient"

It seems like there is some minor differences in the listings. For example, the "glycerin" listed on the website says it is vegetable but the tube does not state where it's derived from. The fragrance on the website is a "proprietary essential oil blend" but only says "Fragrance" on the tube. The "Hemp Seed Oil" on the tube is "Cannabis Sativa [Hemp Seed Oil"] but the Amazon listing just says "Hemp Seed Oil".

I'm no scientist or chemist, so I don't know the difference in a lot of these items. However, it goes on to not be equal footing on either listing I'm reading. Whatever "Allantoin" is, it's got a second name of "Tocopherol" on the tube. The same goes with the Neem oil - the tube adds "seed" to their description. The "Saccharomyces Ferment" is filtrated on the tube I have, but not in any other iteration? I don't know nor do I pretend to know.

After cross checking both lists, it appears there are things missing as well. On the version I have, they list "Vetiveria Zizanoides (Vetiver) Root Oil", Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil", "Potassium Sorbate" and "Sodium Benzoate". None of those are listed on the website version. The only thing I see that is 'extra' is the "Pure Non GMO Glycols ffrom Corn" listing on the Amazon version.

Either someone got lazy (whoever added this to the website), or there really is something different about the packaging. Some of the pictures online show the entire product information, like I have it, but the wording is different once it is all typed up on the page. Although, other (big box retailers) websites show similar information to the Amazon description. It's really weird.

Reviews are saying there's got to be a formula change with this company, because people are breaking out in massive rashes. Pictures are being posted and harsh assessments are being written. Which leads me to the reason why I'm posting my own long winded and long traveled documentation.

I too, am suffering from some crazy rash looking thing in my pits.

No, I'm not posting pictures. Just trust me on this, as I've stated in the past that I've got issues with certain skin care items.

I first thought it was because I shaved too close and with all the exercising / sweating I'm doing, on top of it being hot and humid here in Florida, I was having a heat rash type of effect under my arms. But once I started looking around online for answers, I stumbled on a few deodorant fora and found the comments about this specific brand doing a number on people and they're not happy. Don't let the 4 and 5 stars fool you; hidden in the comments are the negatives. Even in the positive ones.

As an aside, I hate when people give high marks for a product but give low remarks as to why it's bad. You're tricking the algorithm into thinking this is an amazing thing, when it's really not. I mean, there are honestly some awesome products out there, and when you try to be "natural" or add chemical free stuff to your line, you're helping a lot of people. But when people have bad reactions and make comments as such, please don't say it's high star worthy (don't rate it 5 stars and say it's 2 star product). If you're going to be honest and give a lousy review, downgrade your stars to match the content.

If I were writing a review of this product, I'd be forthright. I'd say something to the effect of:
"Overall, it's 3 stars for the ingredient list because having an aluminum free deodorant is great for a lot of people. Being fair trade and organic is another perk because there is a lot of deforestation happening out there and pretty soon we're going to be too overloaded as an empty "urban jungle" (because companies leave as quick as they're erected). This will cause a loss in the natural plants that make any type of body product, no matter how much chemicals you want to add to it. Science or not, I know it takes longer to create natural products and it costs more money (and sometimes adds extra fossil fuels to the environment) but the trade off is you're putting something on your skin that won't do any harm (or as much harm). Which is why this deodorant is a 1 or 2 star product. There's something in here that conflicts with the body's own ecosystem. It's wreaking havoc on people, and by personal experience, my own skin can't handle whatever is being put in and not being listed in this deodorant. It only took a few days and I started breaking out in what looks like hives or a heat rash. It then took a few more days to start to clear up, once I stopped using it. I'm a little more mindful now of what I'm doing to let my pits breathe, and I know I won't buy this product again. I have to begrudgingly give it a full 2 stars because I can't give it any more than that".

Truly, it's not a formal review by any means, and I know it probably doesn't make much sense. I'm not trying to be rude or mean or overtly negative, but I wouldn't want to rate this product anything higher than a 2, purely based on the fact I had a problem with it. If I were to say the whole product is worth a 4 or more, it would be a lie and my review pushes whatever website I add my opinion to, to the top of the list. It also adds high marks to the overall number. I'm not doing that because it's not fair for anyone else who might get the same reaction. As it is, I question why people say "4 out of 5 stars" or "5 out of 5" when they give a 2 or 3 start comment. Again, it's not right.

For me, the ordeal wasn't an "omfg I'm gonna die" reaction, but it wasn't comfortable either. I sweat a lot as it is, because I am a fat kid. I will always be a fat kid. I try to stay healthy and stay clean (like everyone else does, because you have to, if you want to continue to be an actively social person). I attempt to put products on my body that I think are good for me, just like I also attempt to eat food that is good for me. However, I can I admit I have down falls. It is something I try to keep up with, especially since I'm self conscious about things (there are times everyone else says I'm fine, though. They tell me I smell nice some days, but it's because I am using a new soap or shampoo).

I know my limits and what I react badly to. It took a few different products to know I can't handle the essential oil version of lemongrass ("Cymbopogon Flexuosus" / "Cymbopogon Citratus"). I can put other oils on my body (coconut, patchouli), but definitely not lemongrass. Unless, for some strange reason, I can't handle any citrus oil and since the Nubian Heritage Hemp & Haitian Vetiver contains grapefruit seed extract, maybe I need to add "essential citrus oil" to my no fly list.

But, that's still doesn't excuse the fact other people have had challenges. If people are saying "I broke out after using this" or "I think there's a change in the formula because I smell worse" than there's a problem and it's not just me and my crazy lemongrass theory.

Yes, I too smelled bad after wearing this. It was because my armpits were trying to get rid of whatever the hidden ingredient is (or potentially the grapefruit seed oil). I smelled like I hadn't showered or washed my limbs in over a day, when in fact, I shower every morning and sometimes in the evening if I end up going to the gym that afternoon, for the second time. I really did like the smell of this deodorant and it went on smoothly, albeit, a little loose (wet) one day, which was odd. But I think someone said that too in a review. While I was wearing the deodorant, it kept me dry for a little bit, but at the end of the day, my underarms looked like I went a few rounds with someone's fist. My pits were red and bumpy and didn't smell clean like I usually do, after wearing a "works for 24-48 hours" scent.

Therefore I'm back to Native today, because I bought "fresh mistletoe" during an after Christmas sale at Target. Yes, it's taken me five months to get to it, as I've been using a few other brands before I could get to this one.

Oh, and I haven't tried the Nubian Heritage Patchouli & Buriti because now that I've had an incident with the Hemp & Vetiver, I'm concerned about trying the Patchouli one. Even though I know some of the ingredients won't be an issue, it's everything else listed that I'm leery about.

Per the back of the tube I purchased:
"Propanediol, Glycerin, Water, Sodium Stearate, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Silica, Zinc Ricinoleate, Polygyceryl-3 Caprate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter* ❤, Pogostemum Cablin (Patchouli) Leaf Extract, Mauritia Flexuosa (Buriti) Fruit Oil, Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Seed Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Seed Extract, Allantoin Tocopherol, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Sucrose Cocoate, Saccharomyces  Ferment Filtrate, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Fragrance

* Certified Organic Ingredient
❤ Fair Trade Ingredient

Natural ingredients may vary in color and consistency"

If I have any miss-spellings, my bad. I can't see so great some days. My eyesight is getting worse by the year.

This too, has a lot of mixed reviews on Amazon, even people saying they have had bad things happen to their body after using it (like it leaves them smelling downright nasty, even though the natural patchouli fragrance shouldn't do that).

I like the smell of patchouli. I've said that before. It's mellow enough in this particular stick, that there's an underlying fruit aroma with it. Maybe it's the buriti that I'm smelling because there's just enough of a whiff of patchouli, that you're not drowning in it. The more I open the stick and take a sniff, the more I'm smelling a cleanliness to it. It's bright. If I knew this wouldn't give me an issue, I'd test it out. I don't want to take that risk, especially since there are people saying this too is doing damage to them.

It really has to be the overall brand, and that's a shame. They're trying to do something good and it's coming off as bad. Yes, there are loads of positive conversations about Nubian Heritage and people are liking it.

I've taken well over 3 hours to write this blog post and I've been searching and searching for information on the company. It seems like a lot of roads lead to reports saying Unilever acquired this brand several years ago and has taken control of it.

One website says that Unilever is not a cruelty free company, but they're allegedly honoring the original company's wishes by maintaining the mission of staying true to the roots of the creators ("Nubian Heritage aims to bring together traditional healing practices, cultural wisdom, and indigenous ingredients to create natural solutions for skin and hair care" "AI Overview on the brand Here).

According to an "AI Overview" on Google (keyword search "unilever nubian heritage"):

"Nubian Heritage is a beauty and personal care company known for its natural ingredients and focus on African-inspired formulas. It is a subsidiary of Unilever, which acquired Sundial Brands (the parent company of Nubian Heritage) in 2017. Nubian Heritage’s products include body washes, lotions, deodorants, and hair care items.

Origins:
Nubian Heritage was founded in Harlem, NY, with the mission to create modern natural solutions using traditional African healing practices and ingredients.

Ingredients:
Products offers feature ingredients like shea butter, black seed oil, cocoa butter, and mango butter

Purpose:
Nubian Heritage aims to provide natural, effective solutions for skin and hair care while honoring African heritage."

[I've copied some bits from the screen grab above. Sadly, I didn't copy the link where I pulled it from]

I don't know if this link shows up, but it's where I got the following screen grab. It's the same as where I pulled the mission statement:

"Nubian Heritage is a beauty and personal care brand that is part of Unilever's Sundial Brands subsidiary. Unilever acquired Sundial Brands, which also includes SheaMoisture and Nyakio, in November 2017. Nubian Heritage focuses on natural and traditional African ingredients and practices, offering a range of hair and skin care products.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:
Sundial Brands:
Sundial Brands, founded in 1991, is a beauty and personal care company that focuses on serving the Black community through strategic investment and community give-back.

Unilever Acquisition:
In 2017, Unilever, a multinational consumer goods company, acquired Sundial Brands.

Nubian Heritage:
Nubian Heritage is one of Sundial Brands' key brands, known for its natural and ethically sourced ingredients, especially shea butter.

Focus on Black Community:
Both Nubian Heritage and the broader Sundial Brands portfolio are committed to addressing the needs of the Black community through their products and business practices.

Continued Operations:
Sundial Brands continues to operate as a separate unit within Unilever, with Richelieu Dennis, the founder and CEO of Sundial Brands, continuing to lead the business."

"Nubian Heritage is a personal care brand that was founded in 1992 and later acquired by Unilever in 2017. It focuses on producing luxurious products inspired by traditional African recipes. Nubian Heritage offers a variety of products, including body lotions, body washes, deodorants, and hair care products, many of which are infused with ingredients like shea butter, aloe vera, and essential oils.
Here's a more detailed look:

Origins and Philosophy:
Nubian Heritage was founded by two New York street vendors with the goal of creating high-quality, natural products using traditional African recipes. They aim to provide luxurious products that are both effective and ethical.

Ingredients:
Nubian Heritage products often contain natural ingredients like shea butter, African black soap, aloe vera, and various essential oils, which are sourced from different parts of the world.

Product Range:
Body Care: Body lotions, body washes, and hand creams are popular products, often featuring moisturizing and nourishing ingredients like shea butter.

Hair Care: Nubian Heritage offers deep conditioning masques and other products for hair, designed to strengthen and nourish hair follicles.

Deodorants: Some Nubian Heritage deodorants, like the Honey & Black Seed version, claim to combat odor naturally and also help control wetness.

Unilever Acquisition:
In 2017, Unilever acquired Nubian Heritage's parent company, Sundial Brands, which also includes other brands like SheaMoisture.

Ethical Practices:
Nubian Heritage is cruelty-free and does not test on animals. They also focus on using ethically sourced ingredients. "

I must say, I've got to take the information with a grain of salt. It's just that I'm finding a lot of varying degrees of articles (as proven by the level of AI Overviews for the keywords of "Unilever Nubian Heritage") and I can't seem to find a whole lot of background on the brand since there is a block on my end, where I can't see the Nubian Heritage webpage. I can't link to it as I get a
"This site can’t provide a secure connection [...] [it] uses an unsupported protocol.
ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH
Unsupported protocol
The client and server don't support a common SSL protocol version or cipher suite."

As such, there's not a lot of information, outside of Sundial Brands originally owned Nubian Heritage and Unilever bought Sundial. Unilever now owns everything Sundial owned. According to the above posted picture, the original concept was that Nubian Heritage was "founded in Harlem, NY, with the mission to create modern natural solutions using traditional African healing practices and ingredients".  There's a little chain link next to the highlighted text and it goes to several websites, including a Facebook page.

Unfortunately, there are several people on the social network site, looking for answers. Including whether or not Nubian went out of business completely, as well as why on Earth was the formula changed for all the products. Nothing seems to be updated since 2019 and the formula conversation is when they announced the Unilever merger. There's way too much back and forth and it's a tough read because you want to believe the company, but you also want to believe the client. It's sad and it's mad.

I don't want to keep sounding like a broken record or a negative person. I want to share as much information as I can, because it can happen to anyone. If I am having an issue and am finding others are having an issue, who knows who else hasn't, and won't say anything? This is like my "buyer beware" segment and I want to be able to try something and hope it works. If it doesn't, I want to know why. What's changed, are other people reporting problems, is the company doing something different? Or, it could just be a fluke and only happening to me. You just never know until you go through it and then research it.

Which is why I say in a lot of my posts, "do your research. Ask questions and seek answers". This is my answer to a problem I had. I am reporting to whoever reads this, to be mindful of a new product I tried, and if they want to try it themselves, just know it could cause a reaction (but you'll love the first smell of the product when you wear it).

I've got to start wrapping this up. It's been going on too long. So stay clean, stay fresh. Stay out of chemical imbalances.

Cheers;

"Wow...." "Send it to collections???"

More reason no one paid any mind when we got our newly minted junk Internet Service Provider.

Actually, someone might have read the fine print but the master board who chose to use Hotwire, refused to do anything about what I'm going to write.

We have a 10 year contract with the service, our community picks up the tab for the basic of the basic fees (how gracious 😉), but each resident / household is responsible for the taxes on the service to their house or unit, plus anything they add on from the a la carte menu.

So..

My mother told me someone posted to the private community Facebook page that they are moving. They went to cancel what's in their name with Hotwire, and Hotwire immediately sent them a bill for over $1700.

Yes, you read that right. The guy received a bill for one thousand, seven hundred dollars.

I'm going to leave out names, but cut and paste part of the original post with some comments.

Original Post:
"I am moving at the end of the month and contacted hotwire and told them discontinue on 8/1.  Well, they evidently got it wrong (imagine that) and made it 7/1.  So I got the bill below.  Tried calling them (holiday so not open) tired chat (did not work) and sent them an email."

The guy posted a screen cap of the bill, but for the sake of anonymity, I'm not going to share that.

The bill is for $1714.04 with $90.55 "past due". He has auto pay on.

Comments:
- Edited to add my comments are italicized and I did not do any grammar / spell corrects. WYSIWYG.
  • (User) - "Dumbest thing the board ever did. Getting Hotwire."
    • (User) - "agreed, agreed, agreed. We need an investigation"
    • (User) - "dumb board"
    • (Original Poster replying to first comment) - "I beg to differ 😂 I could fill you in on a lot more things. But I'm working to make things rite"
    • (Original Poster replying to Investigation comment) - "investigation underway"

  • (User) -  "Funny ( not really) you should say that , if anyone cares to look back in the original notes, I did tell everyone that I read from another customer elsewhere that when they moved they got one hell of a bill for the remainder of the entire contract! They said that they were told they were liable to pay the bill for the rest of the contract length! I’m just communicating what was stated, that along with an entire horrible novel of info from many other communities ! This is what we were saddled with! I’m sorry ( not sorry) but somewhere something is gonna have to be changed and HW legally needs to be terminated for breach of contract! You cannot tell me they’re isn’t at least 1 lawyer in all of SW Fla that can’t rectify this ! When all several hundred residents give ALL their complaints it will be equivalent to a Stephan King novel! We’re not talking one tiny upset customer that had no service on Easter or Christmas Day, we’re talking an entire community multiple times for multiple issues! I’m no lawyer but I’m also not stupid! I’d be more than willing to do the work on putting together the Stephen King Novel for legal representation ! [ORIGINAL POSTER NAME REDACTED] sorry to see that your moving away but best of luck in your new journey especially w/o HW! And I hope that you get this debacle fixed without issues! I have a feeling that your only 1 of many that will have this issue"
    • - edited to add: I do have to point out, this user is a person who has been writing her own novels of problems on Facebook about things. She seems to be one who likes to instigate in places... known among a lot of people to be a shit stirrer.
    • (User) - "Yes, I remember your warning that if someone signed up for additional services, like faster internet speed or more TV channels, they were agreeing to a 2-year contract and if they canceled before the 2 years was up, they would be billed for the balance. I remember that."

  • (User) - "That seems like a crazy termination fee. Why should you get saddled with that? A new owner will simply take over the contract. Ridiculous!

  • (User) - "You might want to turn off auto-pay so that charge doesn't go through. Then when they send you future bills to try to collect that balance, just keep disputing it."
    • (Original Poster) - "good advice and I did exactly that"

  • (User) - "Give them the name of “Our Lawyer “ to call! We do have one, right? Lol That can’t be real!"

  • (Original Poster) - "I just heard back from HotWire they confirmed that the charges were because we "contracted" for 1G high speed internet for two years and the charges are for the balance of time remaining on that commitment. Then they asked me to send documentation (purchase or lease) that Hotwire is not available where we are moving. I checked and hotwire is not available in [CITY & STATE REDACTED] where we are moving and sent the documentation. So they have agreed to drop the charges. In sum, I have to say that this was handled fairly although it nearly gave me a heart attack. And, my only complaint was that this was not presented very clearly when they were setting things up. I would hope that our HOA would have highlighted this along with hotwire with a warning that it could cost a lot of money in penalty."

  • (User) - "When I mentioned it I was basically told I was crazy and it wasn’t true! ( of course I may be crazy , lol but it was true!! ) ! I tried to tell everyone as I read hundreds of reviews literally and that’s why I decided nope , not gonna do it!"
    • - Edited to Add this was the trouble maker from the longer message

The guy was paying for the top gun speed they were offering, apparently. I think the monthly charge for the 1 gigabyte speed was going to come out to $40 a month for the first year and $45 a month for years 2 through 10, but I could be wrong. It was all a blur when the sales guy was here because Hotwire was in such a rush to get everyone signed up so they could get in the homes and Comcast out.

We had originally signed up for it, but because we were having so many issues with everything and were still within 30 days of signing, we were able to get out of the contract and went down to the tier the community pays for. I think otherwise, we too, would be stuck with this, even though we're not looking to personally cancel.

When my mom originally told me about this guy, I said I'd have let it go to collections. What are they going to do? It's either make the board pay the money or make it go to collections and let it do the same rotting medical bills do when those go to collections. But then again, my mom had to provide a lot of detailed background information when she bought this place, so if the board was handed the bill or if it goes to collections, the board can still do something highly dirty to the people leaving.

Which wouldn't be surprising, given what they're doing now to people.

This definitely shakes some branches within the community, because a lot of people are on that Facebook page. Sure, the original poster does like to be a loud mouth for a lot of subjects, but if more people get wind of this, I'm sure there will be more of an uproar. Especially since there are plenty of houses for sale inside these gates right now, and I don't think anyone really knows enough to contact Hotwire to cancel service under their name. The seller will be in for a big surprise if they get a bill... surely something like this would follow you, due to banking information or SSN or other data. Like I said, the community needed personal information to buy the house. So they can use that information maliciously if you renege on anything. Yet, try to do that to them, and you've got enemies and lawsuits and everything else.

Until this can clear itself up, do your research and make sure you know what you're signing

Theorizing theoretical

Don't mind the title post... I couldn't think of anything to put there... even though it sounds like a band name. If you name your band this, let me know (and give me credit)

Wanted to give an update about Hotwire since someone (ok, Tay) asked me the other day what the status on all the crazy has been.

There is still a lot of issues within the entire community. The NextDoor app and "Friends of [community]" page on Facebook have had some varying degrees of disgust for the services we are provided and a la carte purchase.

I've seen remarks about buffering a lot. We had that with Comcast, but now that Hotwire is a wireless system, I keep saying it's like Dish - any way the wind blows, your service will get cut for a second. Some people are having static, which is the same thought about wireless.

The whole system is connected crazy. Hotwire is supposed to be fiber optics with no wires, but they are connected into the Comcast coax cabling. From there, we have a Nokia gateway thing (I'm not sure if it's a modem or a router) that is so undetectable for a proper search, only sketchy looking websites seem to have this specific model listed. I can't find it on big box retailer sites, including Amazon. What's connected to that (which again, is connected to our Comcast stuff) is a single eero. The other eero is at the other end of the house. These things are Wi-Fi extenders because the community said every house apparently needs them. I don't know how well they are extending our service, though. Everything seems like it never changed.

It's funny that part of the eero description reads "Our TrueMesh technology intelligently routes traffic to reduce drop-offs so you can confidently stream 4K video, game, and video conference" and people are having buffering issues. One of the community members, who allegedly has all this technical experience .. including working for the government, can't figure out why his shows fail to load or buffers, and he gets the "LOADING" circle. He's ripe for the picking, mad. He wrote a long thing on one of the social network sites talking about the problems he's having. He ended up having to unplug the TiVo device and plug it back in... which, based on comments, a lot of people are having to do.

You shouldn't have to unplug your devices one or more times a day to get it to work. That's a sign of a shit system.

And yes, the other part of this connection system is that the cable boxes we are using to watch TV are Android based TiVo boxes.

TiVo.

Something that hasn't been in fashion since conception in 1997 (which by the way, if you believe everything you read on the internet, went bye bye in 2016. Was bought by a totally different company, although the company uses the predecessor's content and branding still).

So the TiVo boxes are slim and white. There's the alien remote that you can talk in to. The whole interface for watching TV isn't completely user friendly, but apparently you get used to it.

From what I've seen on the guide, the channels you don't subscribe to are greyed out, so you know you can't watch that station.

The gripe with the channels from a lot of people? It's got the Netflix complex - if you don't do anything for two or more hours, the screen asks you if you're still watching.

Which means, if you're watching a 3 hour movie on HBO (like The Batman - 2h 56m, any of the Lord of the Rings - 2h 58m or Harry Potter - 2h 32m movies), you're going to get asked if you're still watching the movie if you haven't used the remote in a while.

People have to move the remote every so often or face the box being shut off. No binge watching for you!

The other day a woman commented online that her being an upstairs unit, Hotwire said that the wiring was so bad, the company can't do anything for the person. This, was after Comcast got shut off, Hotwire unplugged all the Xfinity boxes and started hooking up their own. The resident was told that everything that was just done is now invalid because the wiring is junk. Which doesn't make sense since most of the upstairs people are not being told that. I don't know the end result with this woman, but last I heard, she still didn't have service of any kind.

With our install, something fobbed up my printer. I went to print something on an envelope the other day, and it wouldn't print. I've been using the same printer with the same settings for 4 years (it's [now an old model, selling for way too much money online] Canon Pixma iP7220). I know there are updated printers, but I use it because it works. There's CD printing, envelope printing, picture printing... it doesn't scan or fax, but that's okay.

Anyway, I went to print on an envelope and it switched to another setting without me realizing it. I think it automatically connected to something on the Wi-Fi to do that, because it had been working good since I had to adjust the sprays on the XFi box a couple years ago. So this new spray made problems.

Long story short, I ended up having to do some updates, and although I haven't tried to print on an envelope yet, I'm hopeful it worked.

Much like how I had to fix the Chrome banner saying the browser will stop getting service updates soon since Windows 8 will be no longer patched / fixed / etc from Microsoft. Way to force an upgrade. Not doing it yet... and may end up getting technical help from higher ranking IT friends if I do decide to go that route. It's just nerve wracking for the software I use... I'm afraid it won't work on the newer models.

What else with Hotwire? Same stuff, really, as you can tell from this long post. Nothing changes and it's all pretty much stagnant information. It's a learning curve and I'm still at the starting point.

Until the next round because I think I'm beating a dead wire here...

Cheers

“We’re drinking, my friend...”

To the end of a brief episode
Make it one for my baby
And one more for the road”
Frank Sinatra
1940

I forgot to mention yesterday that I’m using my phone for the post, along with my Logitech mouse and Apple keyboard. I’m using the same set up today.

My friend Rachael, the one with the ladybug podcast, has switched donation sites. I don’t know if she’s still on Patreon, but she was promoting Ko-Fi the last couple episodes of her insect show.

I thought I’d help her out by promoting her various links.

* Twitter: @hwabpodcast
* Instagram: @365.ladybird

She has been having quite the few interviews lately, including a “low level government official” out of Baltimore, MD. Rodney C Burris, who also is a “professional development coach and speaker” according to the show notes, and his interview. He has a few Books on Amazon, which seem like the usual suspects of motivational readings. There’s nothing wrong with it, and quite honestly, Mr. Burris seems like he would be amazing to have a few conversations with, just hanging out and chatting. No pressure or anything; purely based on his interaction with Rachael. However, the professional that he is, who knows how real it was. I always take self esteem speakers with a grain of salt.

Much like when Ray Higdon spoke at the hotel I worked at, and I had to run his lighting for him. The only thing I liked about that event was the fact we got to use different lighting backgrounds (walls and such) and my work went up the corporate ladder to the SWFL area manager, who called me out to other locations... he was impressed on what I had done.

Too bad that AV job didn’t amount to much in the end, due to lack of events in the area... my boss wanted me to grow within the lighting world and “become one of the few females within the company who can do proper event lighting” and possibly invest in the travel part of the business.

*shrugs*

Anyway, go check out my friend Rachael. This May marks 20 years I’ve known her... she’s a keeper, apparently! LOL.

Crrrrraaaazzzzzzyyyyyyyy traaaaiiiiinnnnnn........

Not really.

Maybe.

I just couldn't think of a blog title for today. Unless you somehow figure my round about posting will be of equal value to Ozzy's song. Dealer's choice.

I was looking at my Verizon bill and account this morning, and my iPhone 6S has a trade in value of $62. Verizon is telling me that's an estimate too. So if I were to go and upgrade to a new phone, Verizon would take $62 off my purchase if I were to trade in my 6S. That's if I end up getting a new phone.

But, the longer I wait to upgrade, surely the lower the trade in value becomes? At what point does my trade in become $0 and I could brick it to use it as an MP3 player only (or, figure out how to use it as an international device and visit some friends outside the US, and only bring this with me)?

I don't know, but Amazon has the phone, still selling amazingly, for over $120. Why should my trade in be worth half, if I can buy new on Amazon? Yes, it's half of the online retailer's cost, but if I were to get an iPhone X for $1,000... the $62 trade won't help lessen the blow.

I probably should get a new phone, but I don't want a giant (thin) brick hanging around in my pocket. A phone is a phone is a phone. I don't need bells and whistles in it (4K video recording, memoji, 20MP  sureshot camera with portraiture apps, etc). Nor do I need all the bloatware that comes with the phone (Garageband, Keynote). I just want a simple phone because I'm not interested in doing editing on this thing nor am I interested in taking quality photographs. I've got a new Canon Rebel 7i for that, and I've yet to fully use it to it's potential.

Sure, I just jumped on the bandwagon and installed Skype and Hangouts on my phone, but that's only because my friend (Tay) doesn't have a cell phone number but was gifted an old Samsung Galaxy S5. He uses it only when on WiFi and when he is, it's a workable phone. I've not talked to him in years, and all of a sudden, his friend sends him a phone and "hello, 1980s music in Brockton calling!". My other friends that are on Skype are international, so it's not so easy to just call or text them. The ones on Hangouts are domestic and I can use my laptop to chat (in Gmail), but sometimes you think of something off the chain weirdly funny and have to pass it on (like my friend in New Hampshire who is an Eagles fan. He sent me a 30 second YouTube video this morning... I joked with him that it's his new theme song, since he's creating NFL blasphemy by not liking the Patriots).

However, there's no amazing convenience of anything else that makes me want to run out and religiously get a new phone. Of any brand. Sure, back in the day, there was a Windows based cell phone that took awesome night shots, but I didn't jump on that phone then, why should I now? And if that's the only reason to want a new phone, then I might as well get rid of my DSLRs.

Truth be told, lately, I've been using my phone more for podcast listening and during my lunch at work, I use Amazon Prime Video. I've cut down on text messages, I basically make phone calls to one or two people, but I listen to podcasts and watch old TV shows at work (that's a feat in itself... hooking up to a flying Hitachi projector with the use of a lightning dongle). And I started playing Words with Friends again. But... when is a phone not a phone? Especially if I'm doing limited calls, no photos, but using it as a glorifiedly expensive listening device? Why spend over $500 to get something new in my pocket, when I can just keep my estimated trade in value $62 phone?

Speaking of podcasts, my friend (we lovingly call "Ray Charles") has made a podcast. She's a bit of an eclectic bird, but when you get to know her, she's a cool kid person woman. I've known her for ages (18 years already) and it's been so awesome to see how we've grown up over the last decade and a half.

The other day she messaged me on Skype saying she has a podcast and it's on most of the apps right now. She's got a strange obsession with ladybirds (aka ladybugs) so there's an Instagram page, a Facebook page and a Patreon page to support this podcast (the podcast is called Hidden Wings and Bloodlust because one of her friends suggested the title). She's looking for more listeners and thinks one of these days the Patreon page will generate enough money to buy a cup of coffee. Although, she'd really want to use it to keep the podcast going and do more research for the creatures. Go find her and go fund her. She's worth it.

Oh, and fun fact: one of the podcasts I listen to, brought up Pat Boone and how he has a metal album... and it's weird as hell.

I got trolled again by the JWs mailing service. Apparently they came to my house and are sorry they missed me. What's the problem? I still live in a gated community and they used my initials mailing address, so they were looking for a man and not a woman. But.. they still thought it well enough to spam me. At least this time the return address on the outer envelope matched the generic letter's inside address. Too bad no one knows why they wanted to stop... besides ask me if I found some sort of deity in a pamphlet.

One last thing before I sign off for the day. As unpolitical as I try to be in my posts, I have to throw this out to the readers: With all the major hurricanes forming over the past few years and the ones that are demolishing countries, please find a way to donate and help. I jabbed on the JW spam, even though I don't follow their way of thinking, we all follow something. Someone is out there and is figuring out the science behind nature's wrath. Warmer waters means intense hurricanes. We will see more category 4 and 5 storms over the next few years to decades. Our kids are not going to know what the Bahamas or New Orleans used to look like. They'll only know what the place looks like now.

I know Amazon has ways to donate, so if you're already shopping, throw a couple dollars their way (or go to your local places and donate if you're out and about). Considering Florida was saved from having another Irma (September 2017), Dorian (September 2019) sat on the Bahamas for a few days. Squashed the hell out of the country (much like Maria did to Puerto Rico in 2017).

These places won't recover so quickly. If people flock to America's Wang as a tourist trap, imagine if Key West wasn't spared the heat of Irma and there'd be no more "from this point, it's 90 miles to Cuba"? We'd be done. Yes, Louisianians have recovered a little bit, but there are still parts of New Orleans without power. I think I heard last year that people are still living in below squalor, although some of the city is said to have been rebuilt.

Let's help out the other places we like to visit and help them rebuild. Also, keep donating to other places to help out our local communities.

That's it; happy Sunday.

Covering the (rock n roll) basics

The other day, I received a copy of the self titled debut album of Hollywood Vampires (by The Hollywood Vampires). It's one of those "coveted" "Super Groups", from the likes of Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp and Joe Perry.

According to the official Facebook page, they consider themselves a less drunken rambunctious bunch that attempts to bring back the nostalgic zeitgeist of the partying 1970's. The lore states: "In 1972, on the Sunset Strip at a club called the Rainbow Bar & Grill, the Hollywood Vampires were born in the upstairs bar. It was a gathering place for the rock stars living in or passing through L.A. “To join the club, one simply had to out drink all of the members,” says Alice Cooper, a founding member of the Vampires. “I would walk in on a typical night” Alice says, “and John Lennon, Harry Nilsson, Keith Moon—who would usually be in a costume like a maid or a chauffeur—Bernie Taupin, Jim Morrison and Mickey Dolenz would be there. The next week might be Bernie Taupin, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison and Mickey Dolenz.”

Three years ago, Alice and good friend Johnny Depp got together and decided the spirit of the Hollywood Vampires should live again (minus the drinking). An environment for great artists to hang, laugh and play together. The Hollywood Vampires live again with the release of the Hollywood Vampires new album. Alice and Johnny were joined by Joe Perry, who is an old friend of both of them, and the recording began: a tribute to the original Hollywood Vampires.". Thus, a plethora of artists have joined the trio (Macca, Dave Grohl, Slash.. to name a few), and dropped the 2015 cover album.

Of all the songs on all of the records, I have to admit, it was a job well done. Rather, a job well attempted. However, I feel they really can't go any further than this album as they have set themselves up to be a complete cover band. It seems like a lot of people are trying to recapture some heavy rock n roll these days. The Vampires have found, turned over, and replayed quite the similar tunes the kids have found themselves replaying. Yes,  Alice Cooper singing one of his own songs (School's Out), but one out of 14 (or 17 from the Deluxe album) surely doesn't make a full set, in my opinion. Their version of The Who's "My Generation" is on par with the original, but the album is another excuse for Cooper and Perry to put something out. This is their version of all the "songbook" albums that have appeared recently from aging artists. At least the two have gotten together to make a single record instead of making two separate CDs.

From the look of their website, they're doing a smallish tour circuit. It's not the stadium and amphitheaters that people are accustomed to see the players in, as this sounds like the typical promotional kick off concert before something else comes and better suits their fancy. Again, I get the feeling that this is it for them; it's a "I'm bored. Let's do something" album. When I first heard the tracks, I couldn't help but think that it's a garage band that should have stayed in the garage. Yes, other bands have made it out to the curb and did their thing, becoming big names, but these guys are already big names. Hell, Johnny Depp is notorious for getting on stage with a group, because he happens to be in the area and has nothing to do (allegedly). What's stopping the theory from becoming fact with the rest of the "band mates"?

All I can say, is when the Wilburys got together, it was more on a lark. They wrote all original music for their albums (sans one or two tracks). And it was cohesively fun. I hate to say it, but I love the Wilburys (even as solo artists) more than I can try to like the Vampires. I like Alice Cooper by himself. I like Johnny Depp by himself (as an actor). I like Joe Perry by himself (but Earl Slick is a better guitarist, IMO. No, that's not a biased statement, so don't think about it).Together, these three really don't suit my fancy to want to root for more sounds.

I guess, all in all, I can try to listen longer to the album and make a better judgement call on it. Although it's a year and change after the original release, it'll probably take me longer to get accustomed to it.

It was another "Go Play" day...

... and it had several uses.

Due to the culmination of me finishing my Holiday Rush work and the fact we were at a slow moment of the day, my boss wanted to figure out how we can generate more revenue and get people in the store. My "go... play..." served as both a time waster as well as prove Pinnacle Studio 18 can upload Youtube videos.

Wait, what?

I haven't upgraded to the newest software, as I'm still trying to use figure out the aforementioned editing suite. There are way too many options to clearly make us get the new version. The bells and whistles work fine for now, so we can digitize people's movie reels as well as make one solid streaming video from smart devices (phones, tablets).

Lately, we've been asking the question "where's the next big thing coming from, and how can we obtain it?". So far, people want their phone videos off and playable on a DVD. We can do that. But what's next?

After getting some rare phone calls if we offer a service to help edit videos and post them to Youtube (or any social network), we haven't had the opportunity to fully check it out and set up a payment plan. To be honest, we don't get that much traffic as it is; therefore, with the technological savvy society we (generally speaking) have become, everyone is doing it themselves - posting immediately to Facebook, Instagram, and the like. This was the first phone call in months, asking if we provide any video editing and network sharing. I had to tell the customer we don't, but after a discussion with my boss, it was decided "maybe we should figure it out... there might be a selling option here".

Therefore, off I went; taking my Canon EOS Rebel T3 outside, put the video mode on and my lens on manual focus, and off I shot. I had 9 different clips, because it's hard as hell to see if you're focusing correctly while facing the sun. Because there was very little shade, I was going by (what I hoped was) instinct. You really need to know your camera because the Auto setting can't help you if you "go blindly" into a situation with the thing. Like I've shared in the past with the videos, auto focus can hurt you if you try to do too much video at one time and aren't paying attention. Everything turns out blurry. Therefore, manual focus is your friend, even on the auto setting.

I got back in, after spending a good 20 minutes outside, walking around our lake, imported my videos (it took 10 minutes or so), put three shorter ones together, and did a quick title. I didn't fully edit them, as I was only trying to make a point. After reviewing them, I admit, I'm not too thrilled with it. Given the opportunity to play with the settings more (in my camera), or at least fix the color and use enhancements in Pinnacle. It was a rush job and I stand by my work 100 per cent, but I'm not 100 per cent happy with it. Maybe next week I'll try taking video again, uploading it and editing it, but for today, "it is what it is". At least I learned from this venture today, and can fix my mistakes for the next time. Perhaps as well, it's a learning curve and a teaching tool for what we can do, not only for ourselves, but what new service my work can offer.

Tonight, children, be well, be merry, don't drink too much. Some people are expecting a jolly fat man in a red outfit, to squeeze his gelatin ass down a chimney and deliver presents under a tree. Other people are using it as an excuse to do some catching up with family and friends, while I know other humans that really don't care it's a holiday; they are waiting for the candy to go on sale tomorrow. You get it, buddy!!

If (social) networking is key…

… Why don’t any of the doors unlock?

I’m a constant job seeker – always looking for “the one” job where I would fit in (and ultimately like). I’ve spent time temping in one place, working full time in another; getting a sense of what’s out there.

Throughout my college years, we were told to always network with people, no matter where you are or who you’re with. Be the social butterfly of a political figure – shake hands, kiss a few babies, but don’t run for local office. Sure; I can do that. I ended up getting a degree in communications and worked (primarily) in radio – so I shook hands with the figureheads of my town and made smiley faces with their entourage. However, with the analogue equipment going digital, it’s hard to stay “in tune” with the new formats, let alone do avid meet and greets.

Submit to the 21st Century...

I went to a big art / craft fair today in Estero. It was more hassle than the hype was worth.

It was maybe half a parking lot full of local artists whoring their wares. Photogs stretching their pieces on canvas the size of a decent flat screen, metal workers heating scraps into lovely ornaments, jewelers appraising fake glass and hocking it as crystal. The list goes on. It was all over priced and under sold.

Must be a slow news day

Okay, we all know Yahoo! is not immune to providing old news or articles that are completely irrelevant, that you wonder why on earth you just read it, let alone why was it posted.

Well, the Brockton Enterprise is slow on the uptake. They posted an article today about an incident that happened in December.

The article states that a six year old Middlboro boy wrote a note to his school that would excuse him from going to the local after school program with the YMCA. Instead, he would be going home. It was in the typical child form - misspelled words, scribbles, magic marker and finger paint paper. Apparently, it was so elaborately done, that the secretary in the elementary school not only believed the child, but called an old phone number to reach the parent. She also wrote on the note it had been accepted.

Now, the mother is taking action. She wrote on her Facebook how bad the school system is, for allowing this to happen. She has no plans to file a lawsuit, but wants the process of releasing the children resolved. She had no idea her son was not at the Y until they called her looking for him. Because the school didn't update their files, the number that was called, was invalid. Therefore, the mother was furious her child was missing. Come to find out, he was at a neighbor's house and enjoying a snack.

Hello! Why do you post on Facebook about something serious as this? Yes, the more people who can share it, the better, but you don't slam a school system on a social network. Write a letter to the paper. Talk to local news stations. Work with the school to rectify their mistake. Don't go online and just end it with Facebook... of all places! That's why things like this happen. You leave it on a system where you're more likely to get laughed at then helped. I mean, from my point of view, it's more comical that you reach out and want to pick a fight via a social network, than go to local places to get people involved. It may change people's ideas on how their schools act, but who really will use your message and start a revolution? Best to go small and local, than start national, in some cases.

Shakes head at current state of affairs....

SOPA / PIPA

As you know by now... I've been posting about the SOPA and Internet Censorship the last month or so... This week is the week... Let's get together and get this killed once and for all. Everything we know about the internet will be shut down - from Craigslist to Facebook, to Google, Twitter and Youtube; everything in between as well. Even this blog faces death. PLEASE do some good and don't let SOPA (or PIPA) pass!!

As I'm not going to be available on the computer until the weekend, I'm spreading the news now.... but I'll try to make it Wednesday!

STOP CENSORSHIP

As you may have noticed, there's a new banner hanging out on the top of my blog. "Stop Censorship", where unfortunately, the link doesn't work, but it's to the American Censorship Now campaign.

According to the site, where "The US Congress is considering America's first system for censoring the Internet." and "Despite public outcry, the Internet Censorship bill could pass at any time. If it does, the Internet and free speech will never be the same"

The Icehouse

This is a transcript of an original ad from decades ago (I don't remember the year, might have been around the 60s or 70s). It's a radio advert for The Icehouse, a skating complex. A friend gave the audio to me and what it is, is an unedited version (as you will read, it has swears and all that). ..

I just want to point out, that I did the transcript. A 3 minute audio took about 5 due to making the attempt to get it right.

for the facebook community "Sometimes I swear... so fucking what?"

The Icehouse is now open to the public! And what will we do at the Icehouse? We're not going there to get ice! We're going to the Icehouse for FUN ! And lots of fun. The Icehouse is located in the Farmer's Market Building in Town and Country Village with 22,000 square feet of ice for private parties, public skating, ice skating lessons for all ages. The Icehouse features facilities for amateur ice hockey games, and the Houston Arrows as well as other WHA teams will practice there. It's an icehouse full of icy fun! Remember, the Icehouse, yes. |cough| Big and beautiful baby. Big and beautiful. Alright now here we go. We're gonna take this spot and we're gonna do it right. We're not gonna fuck it up anymore. God damn mother fuckin son of a bitch! We're gonna do this mother fucking, cock sucker right! You better fucking well believe it baby! Are you ready you cocksucker - here we go, you mother fucking sorry son of a bitch, low life dick sucking bitch! The Icehouse is now open to the public, and what will we do at the Icehouse? We're not going to the... yea. We're gonna go there and SHIT! That's what we're gonna do. We're gonna go and we’re gonna fuck everybody's wife. Except our own, which would be a god damn fucking disgrace! Wish I had a god damned spike nail, I'd...chew that mother fucker up. Spit it out my asshole... Fucking Icehouse. Who ever thought of opening up a cocksucking Icehouse? The Galleria’s one fucking thing, but this shit - is something else. Mother fucking... shit. Piss. Hell. God Damn... We gotta do these fucking spots for em. The son of a bitches probably won't pay the fucking bill. I hope they fucking go broke. That's it. |cough| Alright, we're gonna take this son of a bitch one more fucking time, and I mean this is the last fucking time we're gonna tape it. You mother fuckers ready? Alright, here we go. One fucking last fucking, mother hutchen time. The Icehouse is now open...|cough| NOW OPEN GOD DAMN IT!!
