Well, we did it.
This afternoon my mother and I lit the sage bundle.
I walked around the house a few times, saying some stuff that I am really hoping works.
I know it's not the brand I've linked to on Amazon, because, I don't think it "exists" outside whatever store it got branded to (Five Below?). Therefore, you're not going to find the specific two pack on the A to Z retailer. But they've got a lot of other brands to choose from, if it's something you think you need to pick up.
It was cold enough today, that we not only dressed for early winter, we were able to open the lanai doors and all the windows. We just couldn't open the front door, due to the critter control, as stated in my previous post.
Each room got their fair share of smoke, while my hands smelled like I was rolling in the extra curricular "get high" process, after all said and done. My clothes smelled like sage, but my hands said "this is some quality shee-it!". I ended up using some of the Aura Cacia peppermint oil later on and my hands ended up smelling a little nutty due to the coconut oil being the carrier for the peppermint.
I think that's what I've not been liking about that peppermint "cooling" oil. It uses fractionated coconut oil, which is a more processed version of coconut oil (and works in other ways and just as well as regular coconut oil) (according to various websites).
To me, it's more nutty. Once the peppermint oil is dry on my skin, the peppermint smell goes away and I start smelling some toned down roasted nut something. I don't know exactly what kind of nuts, but if it's the coconut oil, that's got to be it.
I still don't like the Eddie's Leather Jacket soap, so it's not a question about that.
But going back to the smudging of the house: we cleaned, we said some things, we went about our business.
Including the fact we went to Sprouts, thinking we'd hit some good sales.
I edited bits of the receipt, so that's why it looks weird.
I didn't buy much, except they had two Pacha scents on sale:
Peppermint Twist (I bought three bars)
And
Farmhouse Cider (which not available on Amazon. If you buy it [or anything else] on the Pacha website, you get $6 off your first purchase of $20 or more and I get $5 in points for the referral. So It's a win for both of us). I bought two bars of this one.
I've not tried the Cider one, so I'm excited to use it. I already put one in my shower, which is why I didn't take multiple photos of it.
As you can tell, it's all "hand made", where none are cut the same.
They may be the same thickness, but it's not all straightly cut on the top. They are a little janky, and the colors / chips within the specific scent aren't totally distributed either. Which might explain why Pacha boxes up all the left overs / bits (called "Peaces") and sells it separately. It's a sample pack of specific kinds / odds and ends.
I honestly was surprised to see these two flavors today, especially for $1.75 each. They both listed for $6.99 originally, which is why I picked up 5 of them. If there were other holiday related ones clearanced out, I would have bought those as well (instead of 3 of the peppermint and 2 of the Cider... I would have gotten one of each), but since these were the only ones in the sale corner, I grabbed them.
I know I'm probably being greedy by buying five, but you don't see them at that price often and I do like the product. I really do feel clean after using them and it's not because I'm trying to persuade anyone into buying these bars. I can go a lot of ways with these, by saying "it doesn't smell processed like another national brand might", but you could say the same thing about this brand. To me, I find it just as clean and nice as a certain "Springs", "bird" or one who also sells dish soap (and collabs with toothpaste.. it's all under one roof). I've used those three brands as well, and actually just finished that mountain one. I
t's all gravy, man. Be wild and choose your own adventure.
It's also late. I didn't realize what time it was. I started this over an hour ago. It's 10:30pm. I suppose I should go to bed before it gets any later.
Stay frresh!
Cheers
