Un-Rock The Vote

It's voting day in America, kids! What do we think about that?

I for one, can attest to not getting the harassment of phone calls this week, reminding me to vote for a particular senator, congressman, president elect. I miss that. But, I'm glad it didn't happen. Instead, I did receive various post mail propaganda. What's up with that??

Because I live in Florida, I got the privilege of voting early. Never got to do that in Massachusetts! So Friday I went down to the Election Center, waited about 2 hours in line, cast my vote, and off I went. Performing my civic duty four days early! Lazy man's way out? Not necessarily, if you consider that 7 this morning the polls opened for real, and lines were 2 hours long at five after. It's six of one, half dozen of another. And no, I did not vote for Obama. I did not vote for Romney. I wrote in Ron Paul. Same person I wrote in four years ago. I'll write him in again for 2016, if the Mayans don't allow us to die next month.

I know, I know, Dr. Paul is retiring from the Senate, but from what I've read on where he stands, I'll continue writing him in. To be honest, Obama did nothing for me, these past four years, and I can't even think of anything good about Romney. Even with good ol' Mitt was governor of Massachusetts, nothing stands out from when I lived in that state.

You have to take it when you get it. One less vote for either man, plus the socialist, communist, peace and freedom, liberatist, constitutionalist and your mom and dad didn't get my vote either. I may be a registered independent, but I'll vote for whoever spurs my thinking. If I agree with the democrat, I'll vote the ass. If the elephant in the room inspires me, I'll vote republican. One time I even voted the skittle party (green - rainbow)! So I'm not a "one man, one thinker, pro this, con this" person. If you got some half decent ideas, I'll at least take time out and think it over and perhaps back you.

All that being said, and getting my thinkings and ramblings out of the way:

Starbucks is giving out their Indivisible bracelets for free today! Honest truth. A few months ago, I wrote about seeing the bracelet in the stores, and how a minimum $5 donation will help create local jobs. Well, I stopped in a local coffee shop, snagged myself the bracelet and ran out. All for a goose egg. Get them while you can, because today only, you'll be picking up a red white and blue stretchy rope double bracelet with a metal block on it, saying "indivisible" and 5 stars. I'm still invisible, by the way. But if it's free, fuck that - I'll take it!

On the previous subject of mail propaganda, I got a nice reminder from my "friend" Barack yesterday.

Mr. Obama wanted to not only thank me for voting, but to remind me where my polling station is. Thank you, Barry. I needed that extra information!

Cheers;

PS. I DO NOT ENDORSE OR BACK ANY ONE POLITICAL PARTY OR ENCOURAGE / SWAY ANY ONE TO VOTE ONE WAY OR ANOTHER. THESE ARE JUST MY OPINIONS AND I THANK YOU FOR READING.
